New Product: Omega Heater Backplate

This thing took longer than expected, BUT IM FINALLY DONE! A backplate designed around the use of Elmors HOT300 Heater (You can find his webstore in my resources tab). Elmors heater has so much power and utility and is extremely affordable, so I stuck with what he had, but added improvements i wanted to see in a heater.

Mass, we always need more thermal mass it seems. I worried with Cold bugs and more importantly Cold Boot Bugs that I would loose heat and begin to ice, and when i got power back i would have water. Adding a mass of aluminum helps keep some heat in the system during these troubleshooting times.

Rigidity, that was my biggest concern with the HOT backplate, its just PCB material. (though, it has gotten way better as Revs have progressed) I was never comfortable getting a strong mount with no other backplate. This is especially true on GPU’s where you see card flex pretty commonly on the newer cards as we need more pressure to keep from cracking paste.

Made from solid aluminum (6061-T6), this product is rigid and large enough to act as a functional backplate for GPU’s and CPUs while seamlessly intergrading Elmor’s heater. Available in 2 colors currently (clear and black anodized) Hopefully you find this as useful as i have.
